Den britiske ambassaden i Noreg skipar til seminar om EU og regionar i Storbritannia og Noreg, fredag 14. oktober klokka 10.00 til 13.00 i Grand selskapslokaler, Olav Kyrresgate 11, Bergen.
The EU and regions in the UK and Norway is a seminar hosted by the British Embassy as part of the UK's EU Presidency and "Britain in Bergen week"

Concept:
This seminar will bring together local government in the UK and Norway enabling them to share lessons learnt and best practice when working with the EU. It will cover both policy and political issues. Specifically, it will compare the work being done by the two local government associations and the regional offices in Brussels. What are the current priorities and what is the best way of using limited resources to best effect? What is the best way of lobbying in Brussels? What is the role of the Committee of the Regions and how important is it to the UK regional offices? The seminar will also look at the INTERREG ("European territorial co-operation") programme.
The British Ambassador to Norway, Mariot Leslie, will chair the seminar, which will be in English.
